Frogtab update: faster snoozing and a new mini mode for video calls
Frogtab is a browser-based task manager I'm building to help keep me focused on my day-to-day priorities. I added a couple of new features this week:
Fast snoozing via ⌘+/ or Ctrl+/
As I'm triaging my Frogtab inbox, I can write # in front of any task to snooze the task until tomorrow. The new keyboard shortcut automatically adds # in front of selected tasks, saving me a little bit of typing.
The new keyboard shortcut also works in Today. If a completed task requires follow-up work tomorrow, I can edit the task then press ⌘+/ to simultaneously snooze the task and send it to my inbox. This is much faster than deleting the task and adding a fresh task to my inbox.
Mini mode via ⌘+B or Ctrl+B
When I'm on a video call, I usually float the meeting window over the top half of my screen. But this partially covers Frogtab, making Frogtab difficult to use during the call. The new keyboard shortcut snaps Frogtab's editor to the bottom of the page, leaving plenty of room for the meeting window:
Pressing ⌘+B again returns the editor to the center of the page.
This feature is also accessible via Snap to Bottom from the menu.
That's all for now! See the docs for more keyboard shortcuts. And if you find Frogtab helpful, I'd love to hear from you! You can drop me a line here 🐸
