Frogtab update: Notification icon now works in Safari
I've been working in the background recently on a couple of new features for Frogtab, the lightweight task manager I've been building over the past year.
This post is about the smaller feature: improved support for changing the tab icon. Look out for another post coming soon about the bigger feature!
One of the core concepts in Frogtab is the inbox. The idea is that you triage your inbox each day to decide what you'd like to accomplish that day. Frogtab displays a notification badge as a reminder to triage your inbox - and the tab icon is supposed to get a little red dot too, but this didn't work in the Safari browser.
You can now apply a workaround to have the tab icon change automatically in Safari. See the docs for more info.
If you don't use Safari but you like the sound of the tab icon never changing (I won't judge!), you can now choose to use a fixed tab icon. The docs cover this too 🙂
